The Alternatives to Neo-liberalism in Southern Africa (ANSA) initiative and its strategic partners have been active in pushing for the mobilisation of people for the formulation of alternative development policies in the Southern Africa region. The quest for alternatives to the region’s several development challenges is a very complex process.
While it has become a lot easier to dissuade people from placing their trust in the neo-liberal policy frameworks to confront development challenges, the crafting of alternative development responses and/or a pragmatic alternative framework is a much harder.
